risky business

i’ve so been enjoying my boys lately. watching them grow and change and, in many ways, stay exactly the same as they’ve always been. clyde turned seven last week, which is unbelievable and completely joyous at the same time. leo can be moody (can’t we all?), but some days, this just makes me smile — because he is so much who he is.

some mornings

some mornings are so heartbreaking. and you go on, push on, into afternoon’s sunny shine anyway. and then you trudge forward into the dusty lamp of evening. but still, you wish (you wish, you wish, you wish) the morning didn’t happen. but it did. and that morning, you’ll soon see, changed everything.

good god, it’s nice to be sitting in a clean, fairly organized house right now (and to be well after a four-day, new-years-eve interrupting head cold from hell).

we hauled off at least ten bags to goodwill right before the new year and good riddance! i even have a big hole in my office right now, perhaps, for a craft table of sorts (and for puzzles and legos and shipping coffee!). or perhaps for simply practicing some pirouettes.
